What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a medical treatment that involves putting hair thin needles into different points on the body. The number and placement of acupuncture needles varies and is dependent on the individual needs of each patient. When a needle is inserted into specific points, your energy becomes unblocked triggering your body's own innate healing.

In the United States, Licensed Acupuncturists train in Biomedicine and Traditional Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese Medicine is rooted in bringing the body into harmony by balancing its Yin and Yang aspects. 

Along with acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine also utilizes many techniques that may be used during your treatments depending on your individual needs:

Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxa oil, Tui na, Plum Blossom Needle, and Electroacupuncture.
